Senior Generalist

Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Supervising, leading, coaching, supporting and developing the payroll specialist
- Participating as a member of the HR leadership team
- Collaborating with executive leadership to continuously improve our benefits administration and payroll processes
Benefits Administration
- Managing all administration of the company employee benefits programs, including 401(k)
- Assisting in the annual evaluation of the company benefits programs
- Working closely with benefits brokers and vendors
- Coordinating open enrollment activities
- Maintaining and administering the employee wellness program
- Ensuring annual reporting requirements and audits are completed
Payroll
- Supervising and working closely with the payroll specialist to oversee the weekly payroll process for 450 employees
- Checking payroll accuracy prior to submission and serving as a back up to the payroll specialist
- Ensuring tax filings and year-end reporting is completed
Leave Administration and Employee Relations
- Administering the leave management process for the company while ensuring compliance with the FMLA, ADA, and state/federal regulations
- Assisting with employee relations issues and investigations
Performance Management
- Ensuring the set up, monitoring and completion of annual performance reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- 5-8 years of experience in a generalist and/or specialist role with strong experience in benefits administration
- 1+ years of experience in a leadership/supervisory role
- Payroll administration experience
- HRIS experience (Dayforce/Ceridien a plus)
- SHRM or HRCI certification a plus
- Professionalism, including the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
- Strong computer skills with proficiency working in Google Suites or Microsoft Office
- Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with internal customers and vendors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage time wisely
- Ability to supervise others and create a motivational environment
