Senior Generalist

Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Supervising, leading, coaching, supporting and developing the payroll specialist
  • Participating as a member of the HR leadership team
  • Collaborating with executive leadership to continuously improve our benefits administration and payroll processes

Benefits Administration

  • Managing all administration of the company employee benefits programs, including 401(k)
  • Assisting in the annual evaluation of the company benefits programs
  • Working closely with benefits brokers and vendors
  • Coordinating open enrollment activities
  • Maintaining and administering the employee wellness program
  • Ensuring annual reporting requirements and audits are completed

Payroll 

  • Supervising and working closely with the payroll specialist to oversee the weekly payroll process for 450 employees 
  • Checking payroll accuracy prior to submission and serving as a back up to the payroll specialist
  • Ensuring tax filings and year-end reporting is completed

Leave Administration and Employee Relations

  • Administering the leave management process for the company while ensuring compliance with the FMLA, ADA, and state/federal regulations
  • Assisting with employee relations issues and investigations

Performance Management

  • Ensuring the set up, monitoring and completion of annual performance reviews

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5-8 years of experience in a generalist and/or specialist role with strong experience in benefits administration
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership/supervisory role
  • Payroll administration experience
  • HRIS experience (Dayforce/Ceridien a plus)
  • SHRM or HRCI certification a plus
  • Professionalism, including the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency working in Google Suites or Microsoft Office
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with internal customers and vendors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage time wisely
  • Ability to supervise others and create a motivational environment
