DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision of the Night Shift Supervisor or Management level position within
the warehouse. The Night Floor Lead is responsible for coordinating activities of the night
warehouse employees concerned with the counting, processing, inspecting, replenishing and
locating of product. Plans, organizes, and monitors the receiving, storage, and distribution of all
items received from suppliers ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so products are located
and distributed to proper customers in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy
internal and external customer requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
High school education or equivalent preferred.
Two (2) or more years receiving and warehouse experience.
Strong knowledge of receiving, warehouse, and material handling operations, methods, and practices.
Ability to develop personnel and equipment structures to support present and future operations.
Knowledge of Bar Code Technology and Warehouse Management System.
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and knowledge of weights and measures.
Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel).
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment in assigned area, including but not limited to: Forklift, cart, electric ride on pallet jack, pallet jack and voice tech system.
Must hold a current and active Forklift/Electric Ride on Pallet Jack certification
Ability to move throughout all areas of the warehouse, receiving & loading area and parking lot.
Must pass drug and alcohol screen.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Each Floor Lead will be responsible for their assigned coolers.
Ensure that all work spaces/areas clean and free of debris in order to maintain an efficient and clear work area on each assigned aisle that results in higher productivity.
Direct sanitation and make sure warehouse is always clean .
Assist other Floor Leads & Supervisor by identifying work procedures in a priority manner and expedited workflow.
Ability to prioritize workflow and communicate priorities effectively with Order Selectors.
Assist Order Selectors with any issues they may have regarding location of product, letdowns. Ensures slots replenished in a timely manner, decreasing down time for Order Selectors and eliminating wait time for product.
Check orders and pick times to ensure assigned team of Order Selectors are accurate and efficient in picking of their orders.
Satisfactorily complete all Capitol City Produce Training requirements – forklift certification, safety training Hazardous material.
Operates any materials handling equipment safely and efficiently as required.
Maintains material handling equipment by reporting any damage or malfunction.
